Dr. John T. Ford, DC, is a Board Certified Chiropractic Physician serving Sussex County for 25 years. Graduating in 1981 from Sherman College of Straight Chiropractic. He has completed over 1000 hours in Orthopedic and Neurologic Rehabilative Medicine. Most recently, he was awarded a Board Fellowship in Pain Management.

Dr. Ford specializes in the diagnosis and relief of mechanical back pain. With his low force flexion distraction technique and decompression therapy, He can improve even the most difficult back cases that have not responded to medications, physical therapy, and other traditional treatments. By reducing the intradiscal pressure, Dr. Ford can increase the disc height and thereby increase the opening for the nerve as it exits the spinal column. Whether you suffer with a herniated disc, pain and radiation into the arms and/or legs, or neuromuscular involvement, his vast experience and clinically proven technique will help to reduce your pain and symptomology.

Since 1994 Dr. Ford has been performing MUA’s (Manipulation Under Anesthesia). This treatment is for patients with Degenerative Disc Disease, Fibro adhesions (scar tissue), and Chronic longstanding pain. This technique helps to decrease pain quickly. The results are increased range of motion and improved joint function.

Dr. Ford also specializes in Spinal Decompression. Those who suffer with Chronic Back and Neck Problems and disc and joint pain. With Dr. Ford’s 25 years of experience and the unique 3 dimensional positioning of his Spinal Decompression Table he can eliminate the need for drugs and/or back surgery restoring you to normal functioning.

In service to his community Dr. Ford has served as past President of the Hampton Township Rotary Club. He currently serves as a member of the Newton Board of Health. He has also served as a past President for this agency. Dr. Ford’s commitment to the residents of Sussex County extends to the County Government as well, collaborating with the County of Sussex to implement a Medical Review Program for its employees. Dr. Ford also serves as the Medical Review Officer for the Athletic Programs at Sussex County Community College. Most recently Dr. Ford has joined the Newton Economic and Development Committee.
